It has not been so long since one of the rooms in the house is vacated and now we have a new tenant. Her name is Jenny Chu, she's from Shanghai and she's absolutely adorable. She's very sweet and I just find her accent really cute. She's here on an exchange program at the university and since the dean is a friend of Mike she asked if we have any vacant rooms so Jenny could stay with us knowing we're good people. While we were busy welcoming Jenny just basically chitchatting with her Andy arrived looking really flustered she did not even notice the new girl. She did not even pause to say hello but just headed straight to her room and I remembered how she was agonizing over how to do a reverse phone check a couple of days back. Maybe this problem isn't over yet or maybe it has gotten worst. We told Jenny she'd meet Andy later during dinner and not to worry as Andy is a normally jovial person. She just has a lot on her mind right now. |

While my laptop at home has more than enough RAM capacity and CPU power, it's my web servers that are always struggling to meet the demands of more and more web traffic. In the age of surface mount devices, cheap RAM and quad core servers, you'd think it wouldn't be an issue - but the problem with web traffic is it tends to come in spikes. A social bookmarking site might suddenly drive tens of thousands of visitors to my site in minutes and that particular server may be hosting two dozen other sites as well.
How to solve such a problem? For me, I optimise my sites. I use cache a lot of the content so there's less trips to the database. Sometimes you can scale up simply through optimization rather than simply throwing more hardware at the problem. Still, there'll come a point where I'll need another server and I'll have to migrate some sites to it to balance the load. |

Forgetting can really cost one. There are some things that one is not bound to forget cause if they do,then they can really cost you much or even your lives. Forgetting can be a disease to someone cause it can be addictive. If you find yourself to be the forgetting type you should work out on how you can avoid that by simply giving yourself a punishment everytime that you find yourself forgetting. Or you can also be saving the information somewhere so that you can refer it from there once you find yourself in a situation where you have forgotten. Many are the times when i hear people say,i forgot my aol screen name AOL is an instant messaging chat that not many of the people use it. So many people have joined so many different social sites and chances of them forgetting the most important things like passwords,email addressees, usernames are high. But thanks to the technology, they have come up with a tool that one can use to retrieve things like the passwords and emails addresses. |

When I was in college, my friends and I did stuff that made a lot of people laugh. We went to parties all the time and we still got good grades. We also went out with a lot of girls and never called them back. This made it hard for us to actually ask a good girl out. I was the first one to get a girlfriend and my friends knew that was the girl I was going to marry. They would call her pretending they were jealous girlfriends and since she was smart instead of being too jealous she would go to the reverse phone directory and she would learn that it was my friends who were calling her. She came up with an idea on how to return the favor to one of my friends who was seriously dating this girl. We called him at a time when we knew he would not pick up the phone and then she left a message saying that she was at home waiting for diapers. This nearly ruined that relationship and he apologized for torturing my girl. |

When I was still in high school, I remember those moments where I spend hours talking on the phone with my friends. This was the usual hobby we do way back in high school when the internet was still not a click. When I talk over the phone, I always prefer using the cordless phones. Just like cellular phones, landline cordless phones allows you to walk anywhere in your house while entertaining your call. However, cordless phone problem mostly is on the reception. The farther you walk away from its connection, the more difficult it can function. If this happens, I use the phone with the cord and just take a seat or lie down the coach and do my usual business. I miss those days when I spend so much time over the telephone compared to watching the television. Even if my ears are boiling from heat, high school will never be complete without experiencing hours over the telephone. I bet a lot of teenagers can relate to my experience besides, it was one of the main highlights of my teenage years. |

Passwords as many will agree with me is that hey are very important when it comes to securing our personal stuff. It would be very risky to leave your phone or computer unsecured. Problem comes up when you forget the password. The other day i forgot my network password and it was depressing, really. Like in other cases where you lose a password let's say your ipod password, you will have to follow a procedure that will see you back to the state of enjoying the facility. What i did in that instance is i went to my laptop and clicked download network password and instantly the password appeared on the screen. This is one of the simplest problems to solve and anyone is bound to get it right. In some instances however the method may seem very simple but fail to work. It is a time like this that you need to figure out plan B which could be asking a friend who has been in the same situation or checking on the internet. |

Light is very important in many contests. In this current generation, there is no way that people can be able to operate without the light. There are many ways that one can obtain light. The main and the most common of them all is electricity which is available in very many places. People are very dependable on electricity and it also supports a lot of ways of making income. There are those who in turn have decided that instead of electricity, they should instead harness power from the sun and use its energy as a source of light. This is made possible by the usage of solar panels. Whenever there is a black out, there are a lot of options for electricity. Some people use candles as the wait for the problem to be resolved. Then there are those who use lamps, and this depends on where it is you are in at the moment. Then there are those who use torches. They like using them because they are more safer and easy to use. All they need is to have batteries that will power them to light. They are safe because they are not combustive, compared to lamps and candles. |

Being open minded can elevate you in areas you have never imagined as i found out the other day. I have now understood by what is meant by the statement that one can learn a new thing every day if only they open up their mind. Some one once said to me that they cannot learn a new thing every day because to him his mind or brain so to speak was already full! Scientists say that the average person dies without having used a quarter of his or her brain. Now if this is true then we have to make better use of it otherwise we will not learn something that can help us or another person. When i learnt about ICQ, at first i could not understand it but with time i was fine. I noted that what disturbs people most in this area is the fact that many forget their passwords and when doing a connection also is not known by all. I was advised that when doing a connection, it is very important to get ICQ Help because doing it yourself can worsen the situation. Help can be gotten from a technician or an ICQ dealer. |
