Setting Up a School: My Dream to Work on My Own

I realise we can't always get the exact job we dream of - in fact I'm willing to put my effort and skills to anything - I've sold aluminium van racking, done accounting and even a bit of web development! However, if I could do any career I wanted, I would teach. However, I would not teach in the school system (that is what I used to do before my son was born). Now, I tend to dream about starting my own school. It would be a small group of children, maybe between 5-10 individuals. Parents would need to pay a tuition of $10,000 a year, so that I could support myself and the students. The group would also include my own children. I would work with the students directly for the morning on mathematics and language. In the afternoons, we would go on field trips, play games, bake, or do independent projects and research. I think it would be a lot of fun to work with such a small group of kids and really get to know them and their interests. It would also be easier to help them out with any weaknesses due to the small size of the group. As a teacher, that is my dream: to help children learn.
