When Maria arrived in the school building, she noticed a memo posted on the bulletin board so she went nearer to read what it was about. She learned that the memo was addressed to all teachers, informing them that some students will have to miss their classes in the next two days because they will be sent as representatives of the school for the upcoming leadership training. The training will take place in another venue, not anymore within the campus as practiced the previous years. Maria was happy to know that the students are getting more opportunities to join such activities. Being the school counselor, Maria volunteered to be the one to chaperone the participants. She thought that by being there, she will also be able to hone her skills as facilitator. The principal was so happy about Maria's initiative. When she gave Maria the go signal, Maria went home earlier in order to pack the things she may need for the next two days. The next day, the kids were so happy to find out that Maria is joining them.
